Materuni is the home of the Chagga tribe and is still an authentic tribal village, about 15 km from Moshi town near the entrance to Kilimanjaro National Park. This day trip combines a walk to the waterfalls with cultural immersion and a traditional coffee experience in a rainforest setting.

Tag 1Moshi – Materuni – Moshi
Morning pick-up from your hotel in Moshi with your English-speaking guide. A 40-minute guided walk leads to the waterfalls, with stories about the Chagga people and the local ecosystem; swim at the foot of the falls before walking back to the village. Enjoy a traditional Chagga lunch and local banana beer, then the coffee experience — from cultivation to roasting and grinding, with songs and dances — and a cup of coffee overlooking the rainforest.
