Northern safari circuit

Overview

The park is dominated by the lake of the same name, which attracts large colonies of water birds — particularly impressive are the pink flamingos. About 400 bird species live in the park, including cormorants, pelicans and storks.

Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions, usually found in the central, open part of the park, and for elephants that suddenly appear from behind the trees of its dense forest.
