Itinerario día a día

  1. Día 1Tarangire National Park

Game drive along the Tarangire River, with acacia woodland, baobab trees and swamps. The park holds some of the largest elephant herds in Africa, plus greater kudu, fringe-eared oryx and ashy starlings. Picnic lunch included; overnight at a lodge.

  2. Día 2Serengeti National Park

The entire day is dedicated to game viewing in the Serengeti. The areas you visit depend on where the migrating herds are. Predators usually follow closely behind the trekking animals and include lions, leopards (in the acacia trees) and cheetahs. During the short rains of November and December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south.

  3. Día 3Ngorongoro Crater

You descend over 600 metres into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round supply of water and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephants. The dense predator population includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the elusive leopard. You also visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the south-western corner, home to flamingos, hippos and water birds. Overnight at a lodge.

  4. Día 4Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

The park is dominated by the lake of the same name, which attracts large colonies of water birds — particularly impressive are the pink flamingos, cormorants, pelicans and storks. About 400 bird species live in the park. Lake Manyara is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, and you can see elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes and hippos. In the afternoon you return to Arusha/JRO.
