Programme jour par jour

1. Jour 1Tarangire National Park

   You are collected and driven to Tarangire. Giant baobab trees, bush savannah and seasonal marshes characterise this nature reserve. Tarangire is considered one of the best places to see elephants up close, and the park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests, followed by predators such as lions; leopards are seen occasionally. From the open roof of your safari vehicle you take in the landscape and watch the animals. Late in the afternoon you continue to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

2. Jour 2Ngorongoro Crater

   Travel to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend 600 metres on partly adventurous roads. The crater, 17 to 21 km across, holds almost the whole biodiversity of the East African savannah — between 15,000 and 25,000 animals depending on the season, including more than 100 lions. Chances of seeing the Big Five within a few hours are excellent. In the afternoon you climb back out and return to Arusha/JRO.
